Let’s go back through the centuries to return to Imperial Rome, the most iconic of centurions, gladiators and vestals, including military rites and ancient crafts.
Starting from the great procession started by the Circus Maximus with 1,500 costumed figures arrived for the occasion from thirteen different nations of the world. A snake of reenactors in costume that has crossed the heart of the historical city, touching the places of imperial antiquity creating a truly cinematic glance. In addition to the parade, the tribute to the statue of Augustus on Via dei Fori Imperiali with the deposition of a laurel wreath and a carousel of spectacular performances in a Circus Maximus transformed into a Roman camp, between stands of historic crafts and re-enactments as the construction of the Hadrian’s Wall.
It was a one of a kind experience, organized by The Historical Roman Group, live firsthand all the ancient Roman traditions, get to know their customs, smell the spices they used to cook and the aromas to perfume their case, admire the craftsmanship and creativity with which they created the wonderful jewels in gold and gems, mosaics and other objects, discover the antique techniques of women’s maquillage and dressing and the invicible armor of the great gladiators…
