Dolce Vita event in Rome: Italian Cinema celebrities reunited for the 40th celebration of A.S.C
The day before yesterday, the night of the glamorous 2018 Oscars took place, but on the passed Friday night Rome was the protagonist of the art of Cinema with a Dolce Vita style party.
The A.S.C. (Italian association of set designers, costume designers and decorators) has celebrated all the national and international achievements of its Associates. And they are many!
The flashes lighted up in a splendid Roman night on the Italian film masterpieces. It was the night of Italian stars and excellences of cinema, television and theater. The location, Palazzo delle Esposizioni, has been the centre of this glamour, elegant and exclusive party in the sign of Italian style.
All the most famous Italian celebrities, actors and actress, well-known public personalities were present at this special event: the roman actress Claudia Gerini and her young fiancé, the beautiful Kasia Smutniak and Anna Falchi, the incredible actresses Eva Grimaldi and Margherita Buy, the director and Oscar winner of “The Great Beauty” Paolo Sorrentino, the president of Confassociazioni Angelo Deiana. Obviously the myths of the sector could not miss the appointment, the multi-award-winning Oscar Dante Ferretti, Francesca Lo Schiavo and Gabriella Pescucci.
There are 69 Academy Awards nominations obtained by the ASC., which also in this edition sees one of the members compete for one of the most coveted awards: Alessandra Querzola for her role as decorator in Blade Runner 2049 by Denis Villeneuve.
Of these 69 nominations, there are no less than 18 victories in the various categories, not counting the Academy Award for Career awarded to a costume designer assigned to the great Maestro Piero Tosi. Regarding the Emmy Awards, A.S.C. has won five statuettes of the 15 candidacies won, a sign of the enormous tradition of a forty-year association that has not lost its distinctive touch, thanks to authors such as Dante Ferretti, Francesca Lo Schiavo, Gabriella Pescucci, Maurizio Millenotti, Milena Canonero and Piero Tosi.
After the red carpet and photos for paparazzi, all the celebrities had the opportunity to explore the current exhibition cured by Daniela Lancioni “Cesare Tacchi, a retrospective”.
Later than this brief itinerary, the festivities officially started with a typical Italian finger food buffet, glasses of champagne,cocktails and music.
